Nature Preserve

We can’t wait to come back! This is the most perfect spot for a relaxing getaway! The house is absolutely gorgeous and every single tiny detail has been thought of to make sure we had the best time! From a FULLY stocked kitchen to make anything we wanted, to games for adults & kids, chairs/games to take to the beach, and SO much more! The sunsets are BREATHTAKING and we could see every single one from the porch or anywhere we were in the house! My kids especially loved exploring the land behind the house at low tide and seeing all the wildlife. (Thank you for the boots for us to wear!) It was minutes away from town and a few different public beach spots so we literally had limitless activity options all week! I am already looking at my planner to see how soon we can book again!

This is our 2nd time staying at this secluded oasis that is just minutes from the beach and seafood restaurants.
With a family of 5, this accommodates our family with room to spare.

Delightful sums up our week at the Nature Preserve. The site offers great sunsets off the deck looking out across a pristine landscape. A few minutes in the car and you are at some of the finest white-sanded, secluded beaches in a very family-first environment that we really appreciated. The hosts have spent a lot of time thinking about what makes a great stay. From the often forgotten phone cable to a wide variety of board games, beach towels, and a library’s worth of the reading materials, everything is available and inviting. So many of those little, thoughtful things that are rarities these days. Motion-lighting to ease a walk to the car at night, an outdoor hose/shower area to spray off the sand and day’s debris before heading inside. The kitchen and equipment are the cook’s favorite as it was well stocked and modern with everything necessary and then some. The knives were sharp and the silverware plentiful. There was even a French coffee press. It was so nice to not have to invest in a million little things like spices or foil or parchment paper because it was all in ample supply and a top-notch grill and spare propane provided just the space for authentic surf and turf. Everything we could think of was already there including a large cooler and the greatest beach trollies that made hauling everything across the sand so easy. If you want to explore the tidal marsh there were boots and waders to fit feet of every size and two sets of binoculars to search for the eagles. Kayaks, paddles, lifejackets and the requisite safety whistle all provided. Visitors will be left with nothing in need. Everyone appreciated a very thoughtful notebook left for visitors to answer questions like where to go and how to get there. The Nature Preserve was just what we needed and Port St. Joe is an excellent destination that was a huge hit with our family.

Private, peaceful haven where the beach and the special charm of St. Joseph Bay can both be enjoyed. The sunsets here are so breathtaking that we found ourselves on the porch for hours. We loved how close we were to the beach on Cape San Blas, the parks, and Port St. Joe. The location was really great! I didn't miss staying beachfront one bit, and this gem was half the cost of staying on the cape. The house was super clean and is by far the best-stocked house I’ve ever been to, with everything we needed and much more. Beautiful decor with a feeling of being right at home, yet when you look out the windows or go into the backyard, you’re in the nature preserve on the bay, where you immediately feel relaxed and ready to explore. Kayaks, beach chairs, games, life vests, and more were all provided and were joyfully used. We loved going to the beach during the day and then being back at the home with family, surrounded by all the nature.The booking and management team was super helpful and made everything enjoyable. I can’t wait to come back to the Bayside Nature Preserve. Truly magical.
